Three Weeks

Captain's Blog - Stardate 60409.0

When I set out to write this blog, my initial goal was to be writing for thirty days. Granted, I was also planning on focusing those thirty days on the experiment of exploring the Whole30 diet plan. While I have let go of that diet for a number of reasons, I have kept up the blog and I gotta say...I kinda love doing it.

Now, the trick will be to figure out what to do with the blog. At some point, I will need to let more than those near and dear to me that this is being written. I can use my professional Facebook page and Twitter to cover that.

But what else? In the play I'm working on now, The Boys Upstairs, my character's best friend Josh is working as an intern for Huffington Post as a blogger, hoping to find a way to stay current and build an audience. He's even working on developing an app to help him solidify his audience. His main goal is to be "gay-mous." He's identified his target demographic and is working on reaching them to raise awareness of his work.

So...who is my target audience? Where do I want my "fans" to come from? And what is the overall  story I want to tell with this blog?

My story is the one I want to tell. I want those reading to learn about my experiences in life and art. I also want a place to, on occasion, geek out and talk nerdy to my readers. If you're reading and there are topics you think would be interesting to talk about, please let me know. I've got some ideas to keep things going, in particular some alliterative day-of-the-week features. It should be pretty least for me.

Thank you to all of you who have been reading. I appreciate the interest and support. Nine more days and I will have met my "first goal" for blogging. Pretty glad about that.
